A Long Skirt

Well, I've finally done it. I finally have my own Etsy account. So far I only have two things listed (the above and my hot pink 80's blazer) but you can see them here.

I've never been a fan of long skirts - I think they are difficult to style while still giving the outfit an updated look. For the dress above I used a lot of edgy/modern items - the platform pumps, gold chain, bow headband, etc. - to help, and I was very happy with how it turned out. I hope it finds a very nice owner. :)

Outfit Details:
Dress - Vintage
Tights - Walmart
Shoes - Xhilaration
Belt - Thrifted
Gold Chain - Vintage
Bow Headband - Forever 21
Patent Leather Purse - Borrowed from my sister

  1. The purple dress + the bow + the bag = amazingness. It's got a sort of 80s vibe but in a very modern way. Well done!

  2. Love this! Somehow that bow makes it seem so whimsical and fun. I think you'd have to be tall to pull this look off, but it definitely works for you!

  3. Hi beautiful!

Who am I to say this, but I have a couple of suggestions for you gorgeous girl next time you wear this outfit - just to see how it turns out.

This outfit is ASTOUNDING. I LOVE THIS COLOUR ESPECIALLY ON YOU AND YOU ARE SO CUTE AND AWESOME AND LOVELY.

Thicker belts look better on people with more boyish waists. (This is my problem.) You have such a slender waist, it reminds me of mine, that this puts us both in the same boat. So try a thicker black belt next time.

Also, the bow sort of takes away from the rest of the outfit. It almost overdoes it. Bows are tough - from an outside opinion - to wear because they can easily look childish and...awkward with an outifit. A simple headband would look nice, if you must wear something in your hair. The natural flow of it would look best, IMO.

The shoes look GREAT! So does the purse, and the necklace! It adds just a hint of contrast against the purple - the eye does not notice the black in this outfit, as ludicrous as it may seem. (coming from an artist's eye.)

OKAY one more thing, i started an etsy but will not be doing anything till after New Years.
Thank you for your suggestion :) I have a friend who has one and she has gotten me interested, and several people said I should get one...but you confirmed that I should. Must be a God thing :)
    text me sometime!
