The Complete Confection // Daily Outfit

Isn't this dress just gorgous!? When I found this fabric I knew I had to have a dress out of it, and when Molly showed me this retro inspired pattern, I had one of those "light bulb" moments where I realized that they would match perfectly together. She finished the dress almost a week ago, but when I went to wear it I got sick (boo!) and didn't feel like wearing it.

To be completely honest, I'm still not over my cold, but I had an eye doctor appointment, and I figured it'd be nice to go in something other than leggings and a camouflage hoody, so I threw on this lil' number and my brand new Lita's. It was almost fifty degrees, too, so I skipped the tights. Woohoo! (I'd apoligize for my pasty white skin, but come on! That's not going to change even after summer gets underway! #fairskinnedproblems)

The appointment went well (I even ordered a new pair of glasses! Eek! I'm so excited!) and afterward I took the hour-long gap between my appointment and when I was scheduled to start work to take myself out on a lunch date, which was a really nice treat.

How was y'alls week? And (more importantly!) did you wear anything super cute!? If so link me up - I'd love to see!

xo,
Katie Burry

  1. Such an amazing dress! Molly never disappoints! And yeah...I never tan either. I stay pasty or I end up with a sunburn. I don't mind though. I'm not big on tans anyway!

  6. Haha, yaaa my skin is never far from pasty-no apologies from me either! This look is just darling and I can see why you fell in love with the fabric. The dress came out just perfectly wowza! Plus, those shoes are my favorite color. I've been wanting some that look like that for a long time but don't think I'd get much wear out of them since they seem so impractical for me. On you they're fabulous though!

  7. That dress is so freaking cute! The print and the dress are a perfect match - I love them! The shoes are so fun too! I hate when I get sick like that - it makes outfit photos and all the things I love less enjoybale because I don't wanna move from my couch! Hopefully you feel 100% better too
