Mint Lemonade // Recipe

Yeah, I know this is pretty ridiculously simple to make, but when I was looking for recipes last year the only ones I found were like "put mint leaves in your lemonade" and let me tell you, drinking lemonade that's got mint leaves floating around in it (besides one large leaf for a garnish in a picture) is not very pleasant! So I came up with my own way...

Need: fresh mint or mint tea, 3 cups water,  3 1/2 cups ice, 1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup sugar

1. Brew a strong cup of mint tea. I used handful of fresh mint and let it steep in 1 cup boiling water for 15 minutes, but if you don't have fresh mint on hand, you could use one or two tea bags.  2. In a pot on the stove combine 2 cups of water and 1 cup sugar, and heat until the sugar dissolves.  3. Pour the lemon juice, sugar water, mint tea and remaining 3 1/2 cups ice into a large pitcher and mix until combined.  4. Refrigerate until cool, and then serve in glass or jar of your choice.

Italian Cream Soda Pop // Recipe

I've been meaning to post this for weeks and I'm finally getting around to it.

Italian cream soda pops are one of my favorite drinks ever, and they're so simple to make! All you do is take club soda, mix it with some Torani syrup (I used about two tablespoons of syrup to 8oz of club soda ), squirt a dollop of whip cream on top, and mix it in. And that's it! You're finished.  I told you it was easy, didn't I?

My favorite flavor lately is hazelnut. I don't know why nobody has thought to make/sell/market hazelnut soda. It's sooo good! ♥
