I'd tell you I miss you but I don't know how
I've never heard silence quite this loud
Now I'm standing alone
In a crowded room
And we're not speaking
And I'm dying to know
Is it killing you
Like it's killing me?
I don't know what to say
Since a twist of fate
When it all broke down
And the story of us
Looks a lot like a tragedy now
One of my little sisters got me Taylor Swift's new album,
Speak Now, for Christmas. One of my favorite songs in it is
Story of Us. It tells what it was like for Taylor to run into one of her exs at an awards show. To me, however, it sounds like what I go through every time my friend and I argue - when I so badly want to tell her what is bothering me, but I'm too shy to know how to, and yet not talking is killing me. That's why I usually end up asking a bunch of dumb questions instead - waiting for her to start talking.
