At first I didn't plan on joining in for the 1960's inspired day - since I'm not a huge fan of the 60's styles - but then I remembered that The Help takes place in the early 60's, and that's one of my favorite movies!
This look is inspired by Hilly Holbrook's outfit in the beginning of the movie. For some bizarre reason I love Hilly. I think it's because I've been a fan of Bryce Dallace Howard for years, so it's really hard for me to hate on Hilly.
This dress seemed perfect for a 1960's mod style, it's one of my favorite dresses. I got it with the ModCloth gift card my parents got for me for my 18th birthday. Can you believe that that was over a year ago!? Time flies!

I love the early 60's style that still carried over from the 50s style. I used to be a big mod fan, but not so much anymore! haha. It's fun sometimes, though. Also, a TV/movie inspired fashion event sounds fun! There's so many options to choose from!
ReplyDeleteOh that is one of my favorite time periods as well. I loved the silhouettes in all of the clothing. I remember watching the help and swooning over everything they all wore. You look simply lovely in this dress. The floral print is just darling and the choice of a pale cardigan and tights was so perfect. Have a lovely day ! :)
