Summer Book List
When I was little my absolute favorite summer past-time was reading. I would devour book after book after book - starting all the way back when I was reading Mouse Soup and Frog and Toad. Lately, however, I've found myself reading less and less. I want to get back into it again, so I sat down and wrote a list of 10 books I want to read this summer. How funny that they were all written before 1920! Hehe. What can I say? I love 19th and early, early 20th century literature! Blame the home shcooler in me. ;)

I feel the exact same way. There was one summer when I read about 40 books! But nowadays, I can't get into it as much. I guess I just don't have the time now. :( However, I just recently picked up Lucille Ball's autobiography so I'm hoping that it will encourage me to keep going when I finish! I used to make my dad take me to Barnes and Noble every week to get a new Babysitter's Club book when I was little! haha. Good luck with your reading! :)
ReplyDeleteI read Northanger Abbey last summer and really enjoyed it. It's a fun summer book. I also adore Anne of Green Gables!
ReplyDeleteYou blame the homeschooling for that, huh? I guess I finally have an excuse, :)
ReplyDeleteReading is the best <3 and Pride and Prejudice is a fantastic book!
ReplyDeleteSense and Sensibility is one of my all-time favourite books. Although I never managed to finish Emma.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. During the summer I finally have a chance to read for pleasure. I've also made a list of books I hope to read during this time. And I'm pretty satisfied with my pace. I can just enjoy my book and not have to worry on whether or not there will be a test on it. Summer reading is nice.
ReplyDeleteNorth and South, and the cool Thornton!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have the entire collection of Anne of Green Gables if you'd like me to send them to you for free. I read them all this year (the books were used before I received them too by the way). There are about 8 or 9 books (can't remember. . but they're all there on my shelf and I don't like keeping books)..
